2. Use of the Platform

Typingzoo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the platform strictly for personal, non-commercial educational purposes — specifically, improving your typing speed, accuracy, and keyboard skills.

What You May Do

• Take practice tests freelyUse all typing tests and practice tools on the platform as many times as you need, at no cost, from anywhere in the world.
• Read and share guidesRead our typing guides and blog articles. You may share links to our content on social media or messaging platforms.
• Use on multiple devicesAccess Typingzoo from any personal device — desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile — for your own practice and learning.
• Save local resultsYour WPM and accuracy scores are stored locally in your browser's LocalStorage. You may screenshot or note them for your own tracking.

What You Must Not Do

• No scraping or automated accessYou must not use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or any automated tool to access, download, or index content from Typingzoo without our prior written consent.
• No commercial reproductionYou must not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, or distribute any original content from Typingzoo — including passages, articles, scoring code, or UI elements — for commercial purposes.
• No impersonation or misrepresentationYou must not represent yourself as affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Typingzoo without express written authorisation.
• No interference with the platformYou must not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to any part of our servers, infrastructure, or software systems.
• No mirror sitesYou must not create a mirror or near-identical copy of Typingzoo or any of its pages on another domain or platform.
• No use by children under 13Children under the age of 13 must not use this platform. Users between 13 and 18 should use the platform under parental guidance.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on Typingzoo — including but not limited to text articles, practice passages, scoring algorithms, SVG illustrations, CSS design, JavaScript code, and brand elements — is the exclusive intellectual property of Typingzoo and is protected under applicable international copyright laws.

• Original articles and guidesmay not be reproduced in full or in substantial part without written permission.
• Short quotations(under 50 words) with a clear attribution link back to the original page are permitted for non-commercial commentary.
• Third-party standard excerptsquoted on this platform are reproduced under fair-use principles for educational commentary and remain the property of their respective owners.
• The Typingzoo name, logo, and brand identityare proprietary marks. Use of these marks in any form without authorisation is prohibited.

4. Accuracy & Educational Purpose

Typingzoo's content — including scoring formulas, keyboard layout guides, typing benchmark descriptions, and practice passages — is provided for educational purposes only. While we make every effort to keep information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that it reflects the latest official standards or requirements of any authority at all times.

We aim to keep Typingzoo available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance — we will aim to announce planned downtime in advance.
• Unplanned technical issues, server outages, or third-party service failures.
• Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including natural disasters, government orders, or network disruptions.

We shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by platform unavailability.

Typingzoo contains links to external websites including official portals, reference documents, and educational resources. These links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement of those websites or their operators.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any external site. Accessing third-party links is entirely at your own risk. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy and terms of any third-party site you visit.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Typingzoo, its founders, team members, authors, and contributors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from:

• Reliance on platform content or scoresAny exam strategy, career decision, or result expectation based on content, practice scores, or guides published on Typingzoo.
• Platform unavailability or data lossInability to access the platform, loss of locally stored test scores, or any technical failure affecting your use of the service.
• Differences from official assessment softwareAny discrepancy between Typingzoo's scoring engine or interface behaviour and the actual assessment software used by any examining authority or employer worldwide.
• Outdated contentInformation that was accurate at the time of publication but has since been superseded by new official standards, notifications, or rule changes.
• Third-party content or servicesAny content, action, or failure of any external website or service linked from or integrated with Typingzoo.

You agree to use Typingzoo in good faith and in a manner consistent with its purpose as an educational platform. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.
• Post or transmit any harmful, offensive, defamatory, or misleading content through any feedback or contact mechanism on the platform.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of any Typingzoo software or tool.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, access control, or content restriction feature of the platform.

We reserve the right to block access to any user or IP address that we reasonably believe is violating these terms or misusing the platform.
